Best Friends Forever
Floppy eared, bushy tailed, toothy grinned, big as a horse or small enough to fit in your purse. Like a snowflake every dog is completely unique. However, one thing that all of our four legged, furry friends have in common is the unconditional love they share with their humans; their companions for life.
I moved to downtown Newburyport about a year ago for the art, the culture, the ocean and the peacefulness. I soon noticed that the thing most commonly toted around town besides shopping bags (support local business!) were dogs, and boy are there a lot of dogs! I became drawn to capturing the connection, the pure and radiant energy that thrives between a human and a dog. Having grown up with dogs and having two children with their own beloved pups I can personally relate to the importance of this bond.
Downtown Hounds allows you to freeze a few precious moments of time with your dearly beloved in a most personal experience.
Documenting Life
Photography has been a lifelong passion of mine. It began as a hobby in my early 20's and has remained an integral part of my life throughout my adult years. Over time as my passion for the camera grew so did my desire to take it to the next level. In 2003 I was able to expand my technical skills when I attended the renowned Hallmark Institute of Photography. There I learned the professional aspect of lighting, exposure, composition to bring my photography to the next level, and I graduated in the top 10% of my class. Since graduating I have completed many documentary style photography projects. Through my documentary photography I am able to use my camera to capture moments that tell a story with such silent grace. I am now excited to help you share your story through the eyes of your hound.
Not Your Typical Middle Aged Guy
Hi, I’m Ben Savoie and I am an absolute lover of life. I love to explore the world around me with and without my camera. A natural story teller, my kids can attest to that, I am drawn to anything that makes my imagination flourish and that puts a smile on the faces of my fellow human beings. I’m also a self proclaimed health nut! Biking and hiking let me expand my lungs and take in the ever surrounding beauties of our expansive planet. Keeping a strong body I am able to seek adventures of both the body and the mind.
But most importantly I am a story teller.
